Heritage and Antiquities Act, 2018
Replaced the Gibraltar Heritage Trust Act, 1989. Provides a statutory framework for the protection of Gibraltar’s urban heritage. This piece of legislation includes two Schedules (A & B) of listed monuments, buildings, site and antiquities.
The Town Planning Act, 2018
Replaced the Town Planning Act, 2018. Provides the statutory requirements for any ‘development’ in Gibraltar and establishes the Town Planning Department as responsible for forward planning, formulation of planning policy and development control as well as the Development and Planning Commission as the decision making authority.
The Gibraltar Development Plan, 2009
Provides policies and guidance for development in Gibraltar. It includes a detailed guidance document for works within the Old Town of Gibraltar.
