Royal Anglian Way (Including Great Siege Tunnels)

The Trust is collaborating with MH Bland to organise complimentary tours for our members. This new initiative has been spear-headed by MH Bland who are interested in promoting our Naval and Maritime History and the Trust is keen to support them.
The Royal Anglian Way is a a historic trail in the Upper Rock. Originally used by British forces, this path connects key military positions, bunkers, and observations points that were vital for Gibraltar’s defence. Overlooking the Strait, the Royal Anglian Way provided strategic vantage points for monitoring and protecting naval movements in this critical maritime chokepoint. The trail underscores Gibraltar’s role as a fortress supporting the Royal Navy, ensuring control over access to the Mediterranean and safeguarding Allied naval operations during pivotal conflicts. This tour will include a visit to The Great Siege Tunnels.
