Launch of Calendar 2026
The Gibraltar Heritage Trust is delighted to announce the launch of its 2026 Calendar, dedicated to celebrating the 210th anniversary of the opening of the Alameda Gardens. This year’s edition takes you on a journey through the rich history of Gibraltar’s public gardens, highlighting their role as both a place of leisure and an important research and conservation centre for our natural environment.
Produced in collaboration with the Gibraltar Botanic Gardens and its Director, Dr. Keith Bensusan, the calendar combines history, heritage, and natural beauty. Each month features period postcard illustrations from the collections of RM Clinton and RJM Garcia, reproduced with kind permission, alongside a special “Flower of the Month” spotlighting flora found within the Alameda Gardens.
Step inside this calendar to explore the gardens and surrounding areas in the early 20th century, and discover how generations of Gibraltarians have enjoyed and shaped this space over the last two centuries.
By purchasing the 2026 Calendar, you will be supporting the Gibraltar Heritage Trust in its mission to preserve and promote Gibraltar’s heritage for future generations.
